Christ’s victory triumphs over your biggest failure!

““Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭NKJV

Growing in faith is a journey every believer has to travel individually. We have the privilege of encouraging one another into falling deeper in love with God through revelation, but ultimately stewardship of the heart is done by every person individually. Part of this process includes dying to the flesh. Many believers(myself included) have experienced a battle where one moment you are walking in the Spirit and the next you do something completely in the flesh. Can you relate to that? I know I can— although I’m not proud of it, and I won’t make an excuse for it. Scripture clearly shows us that Jesus paid the full price for us to live free from the flesh lifestyle. Paul wrote that we should consider ourselves “dead to sin, and alive to God.”

This is a big deal for us as believers to understand in scripture and pursue by faith. As a Christian I believe the greatest honor I can give to God is to acknowledge that He is the author and perfecter of my faith, not me. I can’t work for a purer or holier life, I can only say yes to God and receive the holiness that’s in Christ. My “yes” to God should be reflected in how I speak and act.

With that in mind, living a life of repentance is a critical way to honor God! I love how simple God made it for us. I don’t have to sacrifice a goat or sit outside the city for 7 days. Because of Jesus, my only job in repentance is to turn back to God, acknowledge that I was way off the mark, and believe the truth about who God is, and who I am in him. Basically it’s a confession where I acknowledge God has a better plan for my life!

Jesus victory on the cross is final once for all! Because He was crucified my sinful nature is a dead man. It’s not up to me to make up for the sins I commit. It’s up to me to fall more in love with Jesus for setting me free from every sin I have ever committed. I am not earning anything, I’m a receiver of His Mercy and Grace! The clearer I can see Jesus, the more I can love Him and become like him.

“Perfect Peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances. Perfect Peace is the result of Knowing your right standing with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus wasn’t crucified so you could have peace with men, He was crucified so you could have peace with God!”
