Temporary thinking is a trap. The reality is God created every man and women to live for eternity. If you are in Christ then you have 100% access to his peace right now. He isn’t holding it back from you— being born again means you are a new creation. AKA- A child of God. The children of God are made for the kingdom of God. The secret to accessing the kingdom is faith. You must have faith like a child or else “you will by no means enter into the kingdom.”
That is a little bit of rant, because the point I want to make is that perfect peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances. Perfect peace comes from I mind that knows God and thinks God’s thoughts. Jesus gave us permission to access the thoughts of God when he traded places with us on the cross. Part of the inheritance as sons and daughters is to receive from God a completely new way of thinking— the mind of Christ! This is important because once you understand who God is then you can step into his thought processes and actually take thoughts captive. All of God’s thoughts come from the heart of God. Every single thought God has is eternal and molded through perfect love. People often have thoughts that come purely from Knowledge and human reason. Our peace is usually fleeting because our thoughts aren’t rooted in God’s ETERNAL love. We get so caught up in the way things are going in the moment that we fail to recognize that God’s Love is a yes forever, and it’s not based on your performance!
Intimacy by faith is the key to receiving the love and peace of God. Your pursuit of God in the secret place of your heart is what brings life and peace to your thoughts. “It is the truth that sets you free” but if you view truth as a document instead of a person it will not benefit you in any way. When nobody else is around try to allow your conversations with God to sound like you are talking to a person (because you are!) 😁
